ONDERZOEK

De mindfulness-MBSR- training is ruim dertig jaar geleden ontwikkeld door Dr.  Jon Kabat-Zinn, hoogleraar aan de University of Massachusetts Medical in de USA. Kabat-Zinn richtte zich aanvankelijk op uitbehandelde patiënten met chronische pijn en/of stressklachten, om hen te leren omgaan met hun pijn, hun zorgen en verdriet daarover.
Zo ontwikkelde hij een trainingsmodel van acht weken waarin inzichten en oefeningen uit het Oosten worden gecombineerd met Westerse methoden. De MBSR training is wetenschappelijk bewezen. Zie verder hierna.
